As part of our ongoing Who’s Who series, join us in getting to know Human Resources Generalist Stephanie Harkleroad, who joined the TACO Seating division in March.
When TACO acquired its new Seating Division in early 2021, the leadership team knew the 100+ employees in the Largo, Florida facility needed full-time human resources representation and support. Soon after the acquisition, Stephanie was brought onboard.
Immediately, she hit the ground running – diving into projects to help merge the new Seating team into TACO. Stephanie helped facilitate new processes and trainings, employee gatherings and team building activities, while also maintaining an open-door policy to help however she can.
“Ultimately, I’m here to do whatever is needed from an HR standpoint that will help things run smoother,” explained Stephanie of her newly created position at TACO.
Prior to TACO, Stephanie’s experience includes human resources at another Largo, Florida business and a 15-year career in banking.
“I think it was a good opportunity for me to be able to grow, and the company culture, from what I knew about it, was going to be a good fit, and for me that’s extremely important,” said Stephanie of her decision to join the team.
After seven months with TACO, Stephanie said her experience has been a positive one, thanks to her fellow employees.
“Everyone is truly, genuinely very nice and they’re good to work with,” she said. “They’re open and they’re ready for something new. You can tell that, which is great. You can truly tell what the company culture is from the top down. I think that’s something that needs to be capitalized, because it sets TACO apart from most other companies.”
Outside of TACO, the North Carolina native has three main loves – her husband Chris, who is the TACO Seating Maintenance Manager, their three dogs, one Maltipoo and two Shih Tzus, and motorcycling. In fact, Stephanie and Chris spend most weekends cruising with friends.
Welcome to the team, Stephanie! We are proud to have you onboard.
