We are excited to announce the addition of new Master Scheduler Bradley Stone, who works at our Main Manufacturing & Distribution Center in Sparta, Tenn. Welcome to the team, Bradley!
Stone, a Tennessee native and avid football fan who started in early November, comes to TACO with a 17-year background in the automotive industry as a Materials Manager.
As Master Scheduler, he is responsible for scheduling production in Sparta based on customer demand and capacity. To do this, he creates a capacity plan for the CNC department and then a weekly schedule for production.
“I think the biggest challenge will be the vast range of products that we supply,” said Stone, who will schedule production for more than 1,000 TACO products. “Coming from automotive, I am accustomed to building the same product from day-to-day for a specific vehicle type. At TACO, we build anything from Grand Slams to plastic stripping.”
With more than one month on the job, Stone said he has already identified a goal for his department.
“The first opportunity will be to utilize the capacity planning module within (our system) and give the production floor more visibility on future jobs,” he explained. “(Then) prioritize our schedule to ensure customer demand is met.”
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Stone said starting his new job was not a concern because of the safety measures in place at all TACO facilities.
Overall, he said he is excited to be part of the TACO family.
“Everyone one has been so helpful in getting me settled in,” said Stone. “Together we will be able to move mountains and see the fruits of our labors. Not one person is as strong as all of us. Thanks again for welcoming me.”
