TACO Welcomes New Addition to Customer Service in Sparta, Tennessee

We’re excited to announce the addition of Mike Dishman to the TACO Customer Service team! 

Sparta, Tennessee native Mike Dishman joins team TACO in Customer Service.

Dishman, a Tennessee native with more than 10 years of marine industry experience, provides customer support from our Manufacturing & Central Distribution facility in Sparta. He’ll be working directly with boat builders and providing support for TACO’s new eCommerce platform.

As a self-proclaimed freshwater boat lover and outdoor enthusiast, Dishman said his previous roles in the marine industry include sales, distribution and manufacturing, as well as customer service. 

“There’s an end goal in mind in truly helping a niche market that I enjoy recreationally,” said Dishman about his career in the marine industry. 

After hearing good things from friends and professional acquaintances about TACO, Dishman said he was excited to join the company because of its emphasis on innovation and teamwork.

“You can buy parts anywhere, but you’re not buying just a part at TACO,” he explained. “You’re buying people and the service that comes with it.”

Although he is still learning the role and the variety of TACO’s product offerings, Dishman said he is already thinking about SMART goals he hopes to implement into his job. SMART, he explained, is an acronym for “Specific, Measurable, Action-Oriented, Realistic and Time-Bound.”

“I want to have goals with a purpose,” Dishman said about SMART, “not just goals for the sake of having goals.”

Dishman said that by integrating SMART goals into his role at TACO, he’ll be able to effectively grow, identify areas for improvement and elevate the quality of service he provides.

Customer Service Lead Katherine M., who is training Dishman on all things TACO, said she is excited about adding him to the team. 

“Providing excellent customer service is at the heart of everything we do at TACO,” said Katherine. “Mike brings a wealth of industry experience to the team, which will go a long way in helping us continue to provide a high level of service that TACO customers have come to know and expect.”
