The most common type of boat rub rail is Rigid Vinyl Rub Rail. Rigid Vinyl Rub Rails are made from a durable, flexible PVC material that can withstand the harsh marine environment, including UV rays, saltwater, and impact from docks and other boats.
Rigid Vinyl Rub Rails are available in a variety of sizes and profiles to fit different types of boats, and can be installed using screws. Depending on the boat brand, they may also available in a range of colors to match the color scheme of the boat.
Other types of boat Rub Rails include Stainless Steel Rub Rails, which are highly durable but more expensive and sometimes challenging to install, and Flexible Vinyl Rub Rails, which are less rigid than Rigid Vinyl Rub Rails but can be easier to install and may provide a more cushioned surface for impact.
