Boating is a lot of fun, but like any recreational activity it can also be dangerous. At TACO, boat safety is on the forefront of our product innovations, and it’s because of this that we developed two VHF Antenna Mounts for enhanced boat safety.
Grand Slam 800 VHF Antenna Mount
Climbing on the gunnel or a seat back to reach something on a boat top, such as VHF Antennas, can be dangerous, especially when the boat is underway. For tops up to 2-inches thick, we developed the Grand Slam 800 VHF Antenna Mount (GS-800). This mount fits through the boat top and has folding crank handle that enables easy lift and descent of standard VHF Antennas from the safety of the deck.
When approaching a bridge or preparing your boat for transport or storage, simply reach up and extend the crank handle to adjust the position of your boat antenna. It really is that easy! The lifting crank handle on the GS-800 locks flush into the antenna mount base and is made of Type-316L polished stainless steel.

Grand Slam 850 Electric VHF Antenna Mount
We couldn’t make an amazing boat antenna mount without offering its fully-electric equivalent – the Grand Slam 850 Electric VHF Antenna Mount (GS-850). With the GS-850, simply adjust the position of your boat antenna with the push of a button from the comfort of your helm.
Just like the GS-800, the GS-850 accepts any standard boat VHF Antenna on the market. One key difference is that the GS-850 can be mounted to all top thicknesses.
