TACO is a very proud sponsor of the nonprofit ChaseN’Tailz – a foundation dedicated to changing the lives of needy families with children battling life threatening illnesses.

“We change lives by relieving financial stress to provide families more time to create forever memories with their children and connect them with other families [and] resources,” reads the foundation’s website chasentailz.com.

The foundation was created in 2013 in memory of Chase Edward Warren, the infant son of Summer and Jay who tragically passed away at 10 months old from complications of a rare neurological disorder known as Gaucher Type 2 for which there is no cure.

“We are proud to have started ChaseN’Tailz Fishing Tournament in memory of our beautiful son. We hope to spread awareness about rare diseases and raise funds for needy families with very sick children.”

Despite all the challenges of 2020 and the worldwide pandemic, ChaseN’Tailz was still able to provide critical support to many families in need.

“We provided emergency financial assistance to 22 families and delivered meals room to room at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital to 1000's of patients, their families as well as the staff,” explained Summer. “[The] 7th annual ChaseN’Tailz was a huge success with 150 teams with over 800 anglers competing at Tiki 52 in Tequesta. It was incredible to bring some normalcy back into our lives and get back on the water doing what we all love!”

This year, ChaseN’Tailz is hosting its 8th annual KDW Fishing Tournament August 19th and 21st in Jupiter, Florida. Entrants have a chance to compete for cash prizes in a variety of categories. Additionally, on the day of the tournament, anglers and their families are encouraged to attend its free community festival, which includes a silent auction, raffle, waterslide, games, vendors, a car show, food and drinks.

To help support the cause, TACO donated two ShadeFins – a lightweight shade system that easily attaches into rod holders, tops and gunnels for convenient, portable boat shade.

TACO Pro Ambassador Kevin Klepac of Wounded Waters is slated to compete in the charity fishing tournament with a group of veteran anglers as well.

“For the upcoming tournament, we are definitely looking forward to it,” said Klepac, who is competing in a 2007 Prokat 2360 with TACO Grand Slam 380 Outrigger Systems. “Our team is going to be comprised of a few Military Vets and a few First Responders. We’re continuing to try and break down barriers of PTSD through saltwater therapy and fishing. It's amazing what happens when you get a group of Vets together on a boat and the brotherhood comes back out in us all. We're glad to be a part of ChaseN’Tailz and proud that TACO invited us to represent them in the tournament. It doesn't matter if we win, but our success is getting our Hero's on the water.”
